Getaway before 2009
Sunday, December 28, 2008 11:51 PM
In a mere 2 days, I guess all jokes aside, we'll be rushing our studies, given that our stamina will last. So howard held a chalet at the something country club in Pasir Ris, celebrating his baby cousin's birthday. I met up with Qi sheng, Jater and Andy at Tampines MRT at 5pm. Yu Zhuang said he will be late so we went ahead. We reached Downtown East, and were shocked by That friggin big Chalet. I've been there once, i forgot when, but never had a chance to go in.

Basically we greeted Howard's relatives, and then headed down to start the barbaque. Howard promised us that the Pit is all ours, We can have all we want to eat. He did not want to stay upstairs because of the "foul" environment where all his uncles are smoking. We had a difficult time setting up the fire for the Barbaque. I grew bored as you can say I " 帮不上忙 ". So Keegan and I went to fetch Yu Zhuang over to the Pit. I got 2 bars of chocolate on the way, for the marshmallows.

When we got back to the pit, they are already cooking, so I hurried and made an aluminum foil bowl, broke the chocolate and covered it in the bowl. I placed it over the pit to let it melt. The food cooked were awesome and everyone had fun. The chocolate soon melted and we dipped marshmallows into the mix and shoved it into our mouths. It IS AWESOMEEEEE. We drank some beer and talked to Howard's cousins. They are unfortunate teens, same age as us, in the wrong side of the society. I can tell they are changing after what they have done. (read Howard's Blog). Suddenly we heard a shout from upstairs " 15 CHICKEN WINGS PLEASE " and we were like . shit. So we cooked without thinking and gave them bloody chickens LOL. Howard cooked some corn and it turned out nicely. The sweet potatos were screwed up though, Only one is edible. The rest are apples.

After the BBQ, Andy and Qi sheng went home and Howard, keegan, yu zhuang, Jater and I were left. We took turns to bath and by the time, it was already 1am. We walked to downtown east to slack to avoid the smoke, and there were people about to fight on the corridoor, haha. We then went back, decided to sleep since everyone was tired. We laid a blanket and sleeping bag on the floor and a blown up mattress became our pillow. The gamblers and smokers soon all left and we finally managed to get some peace. I honestly felt like some construction worker sleeping on the ground LOL. Either way, there is no peace in sleep either. Howard's uncle soon started a musical (snoring) and Jater and I can't get any sleep. Actually i slept for around 2hours, before being woke up by the musical. Jater and I woke up at 5am, then started playing PSP till 6.

At 6, we walked to mac and Howard and I had breakfast, while the others left. I then bid farewell to Howard and I , too, went home. The moment I reached home, took a bath, flew onto my bed and slept till 3.

The chalet and BBQ was awesome THANKS HOWARD!! Good luck all in 2009.

4N1 MADE IT!
Thursday, December 18, 2008 8:35 AM
WE made it!!! Today, the secondary 4's are facing the matter that will change their lives forever, Maybe. I arrived at school today at 2.05pm and the lecture begun. There was a new principle, Mrs low or something.. I can't even remember her name as she pronounced it so softly. Anyway, Mrs pinto talked to us about promotion criteria, AGAIN, for the 3rd time this year.

Soon after that was the results. Being the first guy, register number 0001, god knows what lies on my result slip. As I anxiously sat on the chair, Mrs Tan passed me the result slip, It wrote "promoted"
English : B3
Math : B3
Science : B3
Humans : B3
Art: A1

AWESOME!! I got 7 points in L1B3 , and is promoted to secondary 5! Everyone in my group promoted , some did not make it, and we congratulated Yu Zhuang for being the Top student in the secondary 4's with 5 points.

We celebrated at night in Seoul Garden, it was crowded but the reserved table became ours :D. After that, we headed to a lan shop and played for 1 hour before going home.

It's a tiring day, but it's fun and I am glad everyone made it. Kudos 4N1!!

"Please Buy Pen To Help Poor Families"
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 7:43 PM
pwnt. Totally pwnt. See what I meant? I hope that newspaper will hit a nail onto everyone's head. GET IT IN YOUR THICK SKULL!!! In my previous post, which I said about the gangster trying to force us into buying some pen that might not even work? Yup. It is all true, TRUEE!!! They are bogus. You don't know what bogus means? Go check on the dictionary.

Today's Newpaper, 17th December 2008, had a page with those big headlines :
"Please buy pen to help poor families " - The Reality : Money goes to them & company
I'll quote some paragraphs from inside :

"Buy a pen or mechanical pencil for $2 to help a needy or low-income family. That was the pitch that four teenagers made to passer-bies at an MRT station last month. However, The New Paper had learnt that they are not collecting on behalf of a charity. THey are working for a direct-selling company. "

"When The New Paper met the company's administrator Ms Sonya, 21 , she said that the teenagers were authorised to sell the items to raise money to help low-income families and families of ex-prisoners. She said the teens recieved half the proceeds as commision, while the rest was used for the company's administrative costs and to help families who approached 3BS (3 Consultary Services) for help. "

Now look at this :
"However, when The New Paper met up with the company's other director, Mr Mahthi , 29 , He has a different story to tell. He initially said part of the sales proceeds to the needy people, after deductions for sales commisions, stock perchases, printing and other administrative costs. He later said that the proceeds, after the cost of deductions, went to the teenagers as they were from low-income families and were selling the items to raise money for themselves."

"Mr Mahthi faxed a copy of the form to The New Paper but it was different from what the teens used to show the people, but he insisted it is the same."

Tips from the NCSS on what to do when faed with fund raisers :
  1. Ask for Collector's Certificate of Authority (CCA). The CCA bears the organisation's stamp, details of the event and particulars of the collector. Each collector must produce the CCA upon request
  2. Check that the CCA states the date and places of collection as well as the organisation and/or beneficiary.
  3. Check on licensed fun-raise events on these websites : www.ncss.org.sg and www.spf.gov.sg/licence/frameset_HH.html.
  4. Do a search on the Charities Portal www.charities.gov.sg or call the Charity Hotline at 6354 8543 to verify the status of the charity
  5. Lodge a police call if the fun raisers are bogus

SEE! I TOLD YOU I WASN'T LYING ABOUT BASTARDS SELLING PENS AT MRT STATIONS. ANYONE WHO BOUGHT FROM THEM ARE DUMBASSES WHO CAN'T SEE THROUGH THEIR THICK SKULL THAT SAYS " I AM LYING BUAHAHA"

My thoughts now are : through this incident, I'm sure they wont be out on the stations again to sell pens. If i see them again, a police call will be a must.

In 2 days, our results , our fate , our destiny will all be revealed at 2pm. We will tears, of either happiness or grieve. No matter what, we cannot change the fact where we will land. The bunch of friends I have are all confident "We can do it" Yeah! Believe we can!

Have not been blogging these few days. Basically, a few days back, I tailed Qi sheng and Howard to Bugis as Qi sheng wants to purchase new year clothes. I bought a figma and a set of Disgaea trading figures, cause my hands were itchy.

Tsukasa Hiiragi's Figma
cost me around $37 , half of my pay, well, i have nothing much to say today, i just stayed at home and played computer games.

Monday, December 8, 2008 3:58 AM
Day #1 - 6th of December 2008
Day 1 in helping my father at the coffee shop.Went down at 7.30am, I slept too late the previous day and i was really darn tired when working. That You-Tiao + Iced Tea combination went wrong and I had severe stomachache half-way. Anyway, business was fair and there are many moments into the afternoon where I am just slacking, waiting for customers. There were less malays as they are celebrating hari raya, but in the end, I sold all the tau hua by 1.30 pm.

Day #2 - 7th of December 2008
Day 2, my father requested me to sleep early today. It's a Sunday, and i know it will get busy. There are loads of customers today, and by 11.40, all the bean curd and drinks have been sold! I went home early feeling a little tired, went home , slacked and watched TV under the air-con, RELAXING!!

Day #3 - 8th of December 2008
I slept at 2am , woke up half-dead. Upon stepping out of the room , I felt cold. Had breakfast, and left for work. Along the way I was shivering like hell as It was so damn cold as it Rained. Basically, reached there at 8am. Business was bad today as it was raining, so my dad told me to go home early to rest.

Day #4
Coming soon!

Oh and who ever calls me a sissy for working an auntie job will have to think twice. For I am Paid $10 per hour for working there. :) So stfu.

This is my hand , after being scalded by hot Tau Hua:

My thoughts now are: Yay, got some cash in hand now that I can work awhile. Left 4 Dead ftw. :)

Jackson's Birthday Celebration
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 7:53 AM
Well, it was a day earlier but Happy birthday jacson!! Anyway, it was a big bunch of people who went to celebrate with him today. Jackson, Yu Zhuang, Yu Wei, Zhi Ming, Andy, Alien, Wai Zhen, Howard, Jater, Qi sheng and me. So basically I was a little late today, rushed out of my house without my cap.

Once I met up with the guys, I realised I'm not wearing my hat and stupid me, thought I left my cap at the bustop and $20 flew away. We had a debate on what movie to watch yesterday night but we all came to the conclusion to watch Body Of Lies, but on that day, they suddenly wanted to watch City of Ember. It was an Okay show, I give it 7/10. It was basically about the Human race, building and underground city as the world on top of them goes into chaos. The scientists made the generators last for 200 years and after that, the generator went ka-boom (LONDON CHOCO ROLL) and they have to leave. SO blah blah blah and they finally leave, see sunset for the first freaking time and the end.

We were supposed to go for dinner after that but it was early so we slacked around TM arcade and watched people play. The gang decided to go to play Pool but I'm tired and not really interested so I went home first. sorry!

Anyway, happy 16th birthday Jackson.

Tomorrow I'm going to the airport to send Mdm Faz off. I wish her bon voyage.
